Bay Mode

Focus and systems for people going somewhere.

One rule a day.

Bay Mode is a daily focus system: one named rule, every day, built to cut noise and force a decision. No fluff, no fifteen-tab productivity philosophy.

DayDeck runs the rules.

DayDeck is the tool built to make Bay Mode operational, not just aspirational. Four parts, cross-linked so nothing lives in isolation:

  • Tasks the one-task test: pick the single task that makes today count, and see it against everything else you're avoiding.
  • Calendar synced with Google Calendar, so the 90-minute lock-in blocks show up where your day already lives.
  • Notes linked to tasks and days directly, not a separate app you forget to open.
  • Focus timer runs the 90-minute lock-in and closes the day with the shutdown protocol, so “done” is a decision, not a guess.

It’s an early personal beta, built and used by one person. That’s not a caveat — it’s the point: every change comes from someone actually running the system, and if you use it, you have a direct line to the person building it.
